Permeability Enhancement Technology for Soft and Low-Permeability Coal Seams Combined with Hydraulic Perforation and Hydraulic Fracturing

The No. 21 coal seam in the Zhengzhou mining area is a soft, three-layer, low-permeability prone to outbursts. three-layer structure includes and roof floor layers, which exhibit high gas contents poor permeability. dynamic hazards caused by outbursts are very serious. A new permeability-increasing fracturing technique that combines hydraulic perforation was developed specifically for geologic conditions of gas-bearing seam. Numerical simulations were study influence on stress distribution permeability around borehole. In addition, extracted borehole concentrations extraction amounts at multiple sites investigated before after using technique. shows destroys concentrated pillars via development fractures between boreholes exposed hydraulically perforated coal. within zone with an effective increase decreased 30%. Furthermore, this increased three times, average concentration over six times. pressure from 1.1 MPa 0.4 MPa, content 15.96 m3/t 5.6 m3/t. All outburst prediction indexes measured site did not exceed their respective limits. only effectively eliminated but also achieved efficient area.
